Hatred to Love
“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.” This is from the book of Romans 5:1. Why am I telling this to you? Because this verse has something to do with my life. Let me tell you my story.
I always had a problem when I have not met the Lord. I’m envious of things or others because of what they can do. I get paranoid a lot and I get restless. Whenever somebody did something bad to me, I just tend to ignore them and focus on other things. But all of a sudden, somebody made me realized that hatred is not a good thing. Then those ugly things that happened in the past became beautiful and does not bother me anymore yet helps me to reach other people with this kind of situations too and share the love that God gave to me. It was my big testimony to everyone because today I can now give love to others without any hesitations in my mind. I can now easily forgive them because if we know how to love we can also know how to forgive like just what the Lord Jesus Christ did to every people in this world. Because of Him, all of my hatred turned into love and my chaotic life into a peaceful one. This is when I learned about love.
Now that I know God, I strongly believe that we should give our life to the Lord and we should always depend on His Will. I know that He is the only one who can change our lives and make things a prosperous one. And we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. I know that God wants us to be a good example to everyone. We are not perfect because only God is perfect. And I believe that God is the only way to change and not from ourselves.
Knowing God is the only thing that who can change our lives and make this into a prosperous one. Love can conquers everything. Just like what is written in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy. It does not boast. It is not proud. It is not rude. It does not self-seeking. It does not dishonors others. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth, it always protects, always trust and always persevere.” Above all, love never fails.
From hatred, I have learned love. This is with the help of God. For those who does not know God and feels hatred, try knowing God, He will not fail you.
